Here at Alkota, we’re committed to quality solutions.
That’s why we don’t just sell you a pressure washer. We’re here to partner with you to understand your mess, and help you clean it up.
A CUSTOM EXPERIENCE
Our engineering staff has a combined 150+ years of experience in the industry. If you’ve got a problem, there’s a good chance we’ve seen something like it before, and if we haven’t, we’ll be excited by the challenge.
Over the years we’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of custom projects, from creating steamers for special effects in movies like Batman and We’re the Millers, to building trailers to clean the streets of Ft. Lauderdale after spring break, to designing a massive pressure washer drill, strong enough to power through a 1/2 mile of ice to reach a subglacial lake in Antarctica.
In fact, 80 percent of our work is custom in some capacity, from altering the color of the equipment, to integrating an alternative power source. Five percent of that work is completely custom, built from the ground up.
Bringing customers back
So, when a large oil service company came to us in need of a power washer with extreme force, we stepped up to the task.
This was several years back, and the company was so satisfied with the product, they recently returned to order a second unit.
“[It was] a reoccurring sale from a loyal end user of our products,” explained Gregg Brodsky, our Senior Western Regional Sales Manager.
The company needed a pressure washer that could flush out and service over-the-sea and road transport vessels carrying oil-related products. It’s a task that requires high volume and high pressure to work efficiently and effectively.
The unit also required fixed washing turrets, as it couldn’t be handled by a single operator. It can be used with up to ten individual guns and hoses.
“We are one of the few that specialize in custom designing, engineering and building products, small or large, to fit specific needs,” Brodsky said.
Specs for this custom washer include a 155 HP John Deere engine, a belt driven Myers high pressure pump running at 65 gallons per minute, at 2000 PSI with 2 hot water heaters rated at 1,400.000 BTU.
Each heater is mounted on a 10,000 lb tandem axle trailer with complete on-board containment for operational leaks of any sort.
