Hello from Alkota! We’re back with a new Faces of Alkota, a quick behind-the-scenes of the folks who work at Alkota headquarters. We’re introducing Jake Peterson, Alkota Marketing Manager, in this edition.
Jake joined the Alkota team in June of 2023, but his history with Alkota starts a bit further back. In 2018, Jake was contracted by Alkota to help develop a digital marketing strategy with content development, social media campaigns, and more. When the opportunity came up to join the team full-time, Jake jumped in with both feet. “I was excited to be able to focus my marketing skills in one place, and my interest in manufacturing is getting scratched, too!” Jake comes to Alkota with over 17 years of marketing, website, and graphic design experience, including running a small marketing agency for the last 15 years.
In his marketing manager role, Jake focuses on helping Alkota reach new markets and increase brand awareness. He’s focused on developing content that resonates with customers and helps them make informed purchase decisions. “The goal for me is to build an engaging story and position our products as the best choice for customers,” added Jake.
When Jake isn’t tweaking social media graphics or reviewing website analytics, he enjoys time with his wife, Hannah, and their three children, Cora (11), Zoe (9), and Art (6). They enjoy camping, fishing, and DIY projects; Jake is currently renovating an RV for future camping adventures.
When asked what he likes most about Alkota, Jake says, “I love our tried and true approach to doing business on a handshake. Our word is our word, and a part of us goes into every piece of equipment we make.”
