50 Hour Rule

After the first 50 hours of a pressure washer machines life, it is critical to the performance of the machine that these steps are done. We suggest doing them all at once.
Replace the Pump Oil
Obviously oil is critical to the overall function of a pressure washer pump. After the first 50 hours, adding new pump oil will ensure a good pump life. If you are unsure of what type of oil to use, Alkota distributors can help you make the right selection.
Replace the Engine Oil
On a new machine, replacing the engine oil in the first 50 hours can help flush out anything left from the manufacturing process, and give your engine a great shot at a long life. Function is important, and with clean engine oil you will have your machine purring.
New Fuel Filter
Fuel filters are your first line of defense in ensuring foreign materials don’t make it to your engine or burner. Clogged filters can causing a drop in performance. Get this replaced after the first 50 hour to keep that machine running well.
The steps are not too taxing, and overall fairly simple. However, they are critical to the overall performance of the machine. Doing these steps will give you a leg up on maintenance and avoid extra wear and tear.
